QHSE Manager
The QHSE Manager will be a part of the Chief Projects Office (CPO) organization and be overall responsible for QHSE strategies, policies and systems within all areas of QHSE globally in the Nel CPO organization. The role shall ensure collaboration with stakeholders throughout the organization (incl. all production sites and the commercial organization), as well as with partners, customers and suppliers.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Ensure that the QHSE strategies are aligned with Nel’s strategies and priorities
- Ensure that Nel meets the highest standards and complies with relevant legislation and internal standards on Quality, Health and Safety issues
- Manage all QHSE processes across the project organization, incl. reviewing and implementing QHSE standards globally
- Ensure monitoring and reporting of QHSE objectives and performance and apply corrective actions when necessary
- Perform periodic risk assessments related to the QHSE management systems, strategy and plans
- Ensure that relevant QHSE training is provided to the organization and other relevant external partners
- Identify, lead and support initiatives and best practice activities in all areas of QHSE Management
- Responsible for the planning and execution of periodic audits internally and externally to retain Nel’s certifications
- Complete regular inspections and actively communicate with all employees, to make sure policies and procedures are being properly implemented
- Participate in the Chief Projects Office leadership group and take lead in matters concerning Quality Assurance and HSE
- Participate in customer-related audits and ensure customer requirements for QHSE are met in the organization
- Support continuous improvements to Health & Safety processes and mindset across the organization with high focus on the construction sites
- Initiate and follow up required preventive and corrective actions as a result of audits, verifications and examinations internally and at suppliers
Qualifications and experience
- Higher relevant education, preferably at Master level
- 10-15 years’ experience within Quality Assurance and HSE
- Should be familiar with ISO standards, in particular ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO 45001
- Strong knowledge of legislative requirements, public regulations and standards within QHSE
- Experience from hands-on project execution
- Experience with risk assessment and root cause analysis
- Experience with system audits and project reviews
- Solid understanding of site construction and supply chains is an advantage
- Proficiency in English is required, both written and spoken
