POSITION SUMMARY

To ensure the Nel Hydrogen US Business Unit understands its environmental compliance obligations and enacts controls to measure the associated environmental impacts to ensure compliance at all times.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage the Aspects and Impact Log by ensuring all environmental aspects arising from business operations are identified, evaluated for impact, and actions are taken to ensure controls are in place.
• Manage EMS Action Items Log by identifying actions and executing.
• Maintain compliance obligations list by reviewing existing obligations and checking for new or irrelevant obligations.
• Support management of the Compliance Calendar.
• Maintain the Environmental Incident Log.
• Plan, execute, and log Environmental drills.
• Log EMS related communications.
• Support the Facility and Environmental Compliance Manager with DEEP permitting, discharge monitoring and reporting, hazardous waste disposal, Tier II Reporting.
• Track business unit Greenhouse Gas emissions performance metrics, track and report Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 activities.
• Stay up to date on DEEP permit regulation changes that pertain to Nel Hydrogen US.
• Perform New Source Review of incoming air emission equipment to determine if DEEP permits are required.

Review of new wastewater discharge processes to determine if new Significant Industrial User permits need to be filed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

• Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering
• Excel, Word, PowerPoint, FaciliWorks or other cloud-based management software programs
• CT DEEP, RCRA, Hazmat, Tier II Reporting, NSR
• Green House Gas Carbon Emissions & Footprint Mapping, Scope 1, Scope 2, Scope 3
