NEL Hydrogen has positioned itself as a global player for the rapidly growing hydrogen economy. Our entity in San Leandro, CA was established in 2017 to service the Northern CA business; we have expanded into Southern CA and have a warehouse location in Buena Park, CA.

Our primary focus is hydrogen fueling station technology and its installation, commissioning, and service, although our service team also provides service for the Nel electrolyser division and its equipment.

POSITION SUMMARY

Under general supervision from the Controller, perform professional accounting duties of average difficulty in the establishment and maintenance of accounts and financial records for division activities, such as maintain accounting records for funds administered by the departments; prepare, review and analyze financial reports, statements, accounts and records; Incumbent may exercise moderate control in the administration of established policies and procedures, and may have on-going contacts with technicians, engineers and management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Regular bookkeeping duties
• Assist with local sales tax reporting
• Ensure that hours worked on jobs are registered in Navision
• Provide Payroll with support and act as back-up on an as needed basis
• Budgets / forecasts and follow-up
• Assist Controller and investigate all issues for account receivables and payables
• Manage all overdue accounts and identify all risk accounts and ensure timely collection
• Develop and manage financial statements and ensure confidentiality of all information

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting

Required Skills and Abilities:

• 3-5 years working experience as an Accounting Specialist or a similar role
• Basic computer skills with knowledge on how to manage bookkeeping software
• Strong mathematical and research skills
• Time management, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to comprehend accounting principles and current financial legislation
• Ability to accurately and efficiently analyze data
• Ability to travel internationally for training purposes
