About the position and the department
As Head of Service Technical Support and Monitoring you will have responsibility for a team of colleagues, that support our sites currently in operation with Technical Support and Monitoring of the hydrogen fueling stations.
You will lead, develop, and manage the performance of the team in a regional setup, where your department will operate mainly from our office in Herning but with a part of the team in California. The department currently has approximately 12 colleagues but expected to grow in the coming years.
You will be engaged in supporting our Customers and Service Technicians with a true Customer Centric approach.
In close collaboration with IT you will continue to develop our system and data landscape to support an effective 1st and 2nd line support for our Fueling Stations as well as an effective surveillance program.
In close collaboration with our Technical Product Integrity team, continue to improve the reliability of our Hydrogen Fueling Stations through effective fault finding and technical fixes.
Ensure internal stakeholders continue to be able to drive their share of the service process through the work performed within the department.
Encourage and drive cross regional coloration and team work within the team to capture all the benefits of working globally with many different customers and cultures.
Tasks and responsibilities
With Herning, as your home base, you will be part of NEL’s Project and Service Management team and report to the Vice President, Construction/Projects and Service.
- lead, develop, deploying, and managing service strategy, policy, and procedures
- ensuring 24/7 Technical Support and Monitoring of our fueling stations
- monitoring fueling station performance and providing service forecasts
- alignment with the product integrity team to ensure continued performance of our fleet
- ensure development of system, processes and governance required for monitoring stations
- identifying and developing new service business opportunities
- ensure the team is at the heart of business improvement initiatives coming from the sites
We imagine that you have solid people management skills from an international organization that has worked with providing Technical Support and / or Monitoring of complex equipment/products. You have been working within a Technical Support, or Service related business where either B2B or B2C was an important facet of the Technical Support and Monitoring.
You may also have experience developing or running a Customer Service center and may also have experience with the use of the associated systems and structures required for these types of business.
You have either a technical education in engineering combined with business or a business background. Although you don’t have to be an expect in technical products, you do have an interest in the technological field.
