Project Planner
We are searching for a Project Planner to join our Project Control department.
Nel’s project organisation is responsible for tendering, negotiation and execution of all projects in Nel. Project Control involves all processes needed for effective planning of projects before award, and for control and reporting during execution. The Project Planner is a key member of the Project Control team and reports to the Vice President Project Control.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Develop Project schedules
- Monitor and update project progress
- Support the Project Managers in monitoring, analyzing, and forecasting performance
- Preparation of mitigation/recovery schedules
- Take assignments at site during construction and commissioning
- Carry out Schedule Risk Analyses
- Assist in Mechanical Completion and Commissioning planning
- Participate in development of standard engineering and execution plans
- Develop and maintain Nel’s procedures related to Project Planning
Preferred educational background and professional experience
- Higher relevant education, minimum at Bachelor’s level
- Solid experience from project planning for industrial projects
- Knowledge of engineering processes and deliverables
- Experience from risk and change management
- Experienced user of planning software, knowledge of Primavera is an advantage
- Proficiency in English is required, both written and spoken

- Ambitious and self-motivated with a strong ability to deliver
- Comfortable within a wide variety of functional, commercial, and technical discussions
