Nel Hydrogen Electrolyser are now looking for a Technologist - Electrochemistry

Nel's technology department is now hiring. We are looking for highly motivated employees to grow the team. You will play an important role in the development activities and be a part of the team realizing the Nel R&D goals. The position reports to Technology Director at Nel Hydrogen Electrolyser. 

Technologist – Electrochemistry 

Your most important responsibilities and tasks will be: 

• Develop HER- and OER-catalysts 
• Benchmarking electrodes, membranes and other components in a fuel cell stack 
• Develop testing equipment and accelerated test protocols 
• Support in production, testing and the verification process of products 

Preferred educational background and professional experience: 

• PhD in electrochemistry or an adjacent discipline/area of focus 
• Experience and knowledge of working in a laboratory setting 
• 5-10 years of relevant working experience (i.e., industry experience) 
• Good technical and analytical skills, and experience working in a team setting 
• IT knowledgeable with technical competency

• Quality conscious, with a drive for continuous improvement

• Proficiency with English and Norwegian languages, both written and oral

Work place: Main location will be Notodden/Herøya, but other locations can be assessed specifically
