Business Development Manager
We are searching for a motivated and skilled employee with a background from complex systems and driving sales / business development related activities. The position reports to the Alkaline After Sales and Service Director and the role is based in one of the following locations: Notodden, Porsgrunn/Herøya, Kristiansand, Trondheim or Oslo.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Responsible for developing business within Nel Alkaline After Sales
- Work together with Nel Sales team, securing service agreements, and ensuring customer long term trust
- Planning, executing and reporting on business development activities
- Create win/loss analyses of after marked captures
- Act as key account manager for selected customers
- Coordinate service and support activities in cooperation with the Alkaline Service Manager
- Responsible for management and administration of the After Sales Department to ensure that appointed tasks are performed in accordance with NEL Electrolyser AS policies and procedures
- Responsible for delivery according to agreed Services KPIs
- Proactively follow-up customers of the After Sales & Service department activities and promote, in general, a proactive attitude within the department
- Responsible for securing Nel Alkaline Operations Center After Sales and support functions, for both remote and onsite activities, with special focus on:
- First-level support and technical inspections leveraging digital integrations towards customers
- Hotline technical support
- After sales installation & commissioning
- Report on the overall overview of active service contracts customer satisfaction
- Overall responsible for service and spare part sales contracts in the After Sales & Service Department
- Establish and maintain Nel After Sales global strategy
- Prepare customer specific service and spare part offerings in cooperation with the Service department.
Key qualifications
- MBA, Masters in Industrial Economics, or B.Sc./M.Sc. in an engineering discipline with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience
- Experience might compensate for lack of formal competency
- Required experience:
- 5 years of advanced sales related activities
- 3 years experience from a similar complex business
- The ability to leverage and utilize various business analytics (market, supply-demand, competitive analyses, etc.) into new business development opportunities
