DEIA Consultant
Our company is searching for a passionate DEIA Consultant to work with Nel Hydrogen. The Consultant will create the company's Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Social Impact Strategy into the everyday culture of the organization, making it a competitive and strategic advantage.
This role could be fully remote or hybrid in Wallingford, CT. The candidate will need to be in the Eastern Time Zone.
Responsibilities.
Global Assessment and Gap Analysis
- Conduct a global assessment and gap analysis.
- Use data-driven insights to recommend and implement DEI programs and strategies to meet KPIs.
Collaboration with Internal Stakeholders
- Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to advance our vision of building a diverse organization where every employee feels included, supported, and empowered to succeed.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, and operational stakeholders to attract, develop, and retain a diverse employee base.
Corporate Communications
- In partnership with Corporate Communications, write, review, and edit DEI content to ensure it is up to date and captivating.
- Ensure alignment with established communications guidelines and brand standards.
Consultancy and Guidance
- Provide subject matter expertise in a consultancy role, offering guidance on sensitive diversity topics as needed.
- Identify and raise needs for organizational and developmental tools and resources.
- Determine options for securing resources, either by building internally, leveraging existing programs, or buying through external partners.
Educational Programming
- Lead the design and implementation of educational programming (e.g., programs, events, workshops, and dialogues).
- Raise awareness and competency of employees in support of social, identity, cultural, and global understanding.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, business administration, organizational development, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in HR, or a related area, including a minimum of five years of proven experience with progressive responsibility developing, implementing, and enhancing DEI initiatives.
- Experience with the design of DEI programs, including workforce training, workshops, and employee resource groups (ERGs).
- Success with the creation and implementation of practices and policies that support DEI in recruitment, retention, and the overall employee experience.
- Strong understanding of DEI principles, practices, and legal requirements.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and present data effectively.
- Experience with change management and organizational development.
- SHRM-SCP Preferred.
