Main Tasks & Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with the Corporate Technology group to integrate new materials into existing cell stack products in order to drive improvements in efficiency, reliability, and cost.
- Interact with external component suppliers to verify compatibility in material changes.
- Develop material specifications and inspection techniques for cell stack components.
- Perform root cause analysis on cell stack component failures and work with a cross-functional team to conceptualize and implement improvements.
- Support the cell stack manufacturing line to work through line-down issues and implement process improvements.
- Support the Technical Service team in working through questions of cell stack material compatibility.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree or higher in materials science, chemistry, chemical engineering, or related field.
- 3 – 7 years of professional experience in an engineering or laboratory setting.
- Experience working with characterization techniques such as scanning electron microscopy, X-ray fluorescence, dynamic light scattering, or inert gas fusion.
- Experience in PEM technologies or related field preferred.
