Electromechanical Technician

Main tasks and responsibilities
- Understand and be able to read mechanical drawings, work orders or other instructions to build up test hardware
- Understand and be able to read electrical schematics and specifications to determine wiring and assembly sequences of test hardware
- Ensure test stations remain in good working order with focus on preventative maintenance and upgrade requirements
- Perform tests and summarize test results in graphs, Power Point charts, and written reports
- Supports manufacturing and/or service group in testing of non-conforming product and analyzing components from field returns
- Perform diagnostics on non-working equipment, identify issues and implement repairs
- Capable of working well in a multi-disciplinary team environment
Key Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field
- 3+ years experience working hands on in a research and development environment
- Motivated self-starter with high level of initiative and willingness to suggest and implement improvements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to balance multiple tasks
- Capable of working well in a multi-disciplinary team environment with high degree of collaboration
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Experience working with electrochemical devices desired
