Receiving / Material Handler

Main tasks and responsibilities
- Take possession of packages from shipping companies via incoming dock
- Sign for deliveries
- Inspect parcels for any shipping damage and make notes as such with drivers
- Review packing slips to Purchase orders to parts received and verify correct material and P/N is received
- Count and verify quantity of parts received
- Use ERP software to receive purchased goods against purchase orders
- Correctly locate and maintain inventory bin locations.
- Interact with the Buyer/Planners to work through any vendor inaccuracies
- Correctly in all receiving transactions to ensure inventory accuracy
- Unpackage and deliver material to inspection or inventory locations
- Maximize efficient use of storage space and restructure as needed
- Operate fork truck to move various items at the facility and on/off delivery vehicles
- Pick kits for service shipments as required
- Notify Buyer/Planners of part shortages
- Work with core team on implementation of bar coding
- Perform inventory counts as required.
- Follow all required safety regulations and PPE requirements.
- Maintain 5S in the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
Key Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Required Skills and Abilities:
- 1-3 years of experience
- Proficient with use of computers and demonstrated use of Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP software
- Inventory control experience
- Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly and in a timely manner
- Strong critical thinking and reasoning skills
- Good English verbal, reading, and writing language skills
- High attention to detail, teamwork and being self-motivated is a must
- Hoist, stacker and forklift equipment operation experience is preferred
